Tumwater police are keeping an eye out for a 68-year-old woman they believe is missing.

Roberta A. Hartnell was last seen near Buttercup Street on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m., when she left on foot with her son, Chris Haegen, but did not return to the adult family home that she lives in, police said Monday.

Tumwater police said the two possibly went to Walmart, but neither returned to Hartnell’s residence.

Hartnell must take medications daily but did not bring them when she left, police added.

Hartnell is 5’4” and weighs 140 lbs. She was last seen wearing black pants and an oversized black jacket while carrying a black purse and a cane. An image of Hartnell shows that she has short, grayish hair.

Her son was last seen wearing jeans and a brown jacket.

Police said Haegen might be driving an older grey Suburban and possibly brought his mother to the Centralia area.

Those with information about the two individuals were urged to contact 360-704-2740 and reference case number 2022-02052.
