Elections office seeks 'Against' committee related to Yelm schools special election

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division is seeking residents to serve as members of the "Against" committee for the upcoming Special Election on April 23.

Committee members will provide representation against the Yelm Community Schools, Proposition No. 1 and will issue written statements against the proposed resolution, which will be published in the local voters’ pamphlet.

Each committee is limited to a maximum of three members who are residents within the district affected by the measure, although additional advice from other individuals is permitted.

Those interested in participating are urged to submit their names to the Elections Division no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 1.

Submissions can be made via email or by delivering forms to the Thurston County Elections Office located at 2400 Evergreen Park Drive SW, Olympia, WA 98502.
