“This coming weekend’s extreme weather is dangerous for those without shelter,” said Thurston County Corad of County Commissioners (BoCC) in a news release.
From November 24-29, a weather forecast of below-freezing nighttime conditions in Puget Sound has prompted Thurston County Public Health and Social Services to issue a “Hazardous Weather Advisory.”
This is aimed at increasing shelter-in-place efforts and extending nightly shelter beds being offered. The beds will be available from 8 p.m. to a.m. The advisory ends on Wednesday, November 29 at 8:00 a.m.
