Environmental Awareness: Small steps, Big Impact event at the Woman's Club of Olympia, via Zoom on April 14, 2021 at 7 pm.  Open to all. 

Guest Speakers: Teen Environmentalist Lassah Johnson of Victoria BC and Cassie Blake of Olympia, WA

About Guest Speakers: 

Lassah Johnson is a Grade 12 student living in Victoria, BC, Canada. Her biggest passion in life has become volunteering at school and larger community. She enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends or coaching soccer!

She has been a part of STEP (Sharing Teens and Elders Project) for just about a year now and at school,  an active member of multiple clubs including ESCAPE (Esquimalt Students Caring About Peace and the Environment) for all 4 years of high school.

Her group works towards creating awareness regarding the effects of climate change, fundraising for environmental nonprofits and hosting peace day assemblies and workshops. 

Cassie Blake is a senior at Olympia High School and a dancer with Studio West Dance Academy in Olympia. When not dancing or doing schoolwork, she loves reading, traveling, and spending time with friends. 

Ms. Cassie recently learned how to skateboard and has been enjoying rolling around her neighborhood! She's been a member of STEP since the Fall of 2019, and a member of the Climate Action Club at Oly High since it first started in the Fall of 2018.
