The Envision Career Academy Class of 2025 graduated in a ceremony held at James Koval Center for the Performing Arts in Lacey on Tuesday, June 10.
The commencement ceremony began with the processional of the graduates, accompanied by Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” Graduating seniors Hayden Bryson and Eric Manubay performed the national anthem, followed by graduating senior Thomas Blacketer, who recited the North Thurston Public Schools Land Acknowledgment.
Superintendent Troy Oliver delivered a welcome address to the graduates and their guests, followed by Principal Dr. Brody LaRock, who also delivered remarks. Graduates Delyn Sanders and Eric Manubay delivered seniors’ addresses.
Envision presented 29 diplomas to the Class of 2025. After the presentation of diplomas, graduating senior Eric Manubay led the turning of the tassels. Dr. LaRock officially presented the Class of 2025, and the graduates recessed to Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.”
Each of the five North Thurston Public Schools Board of Directors were in attendance for the ceremony: President Gretchen Maliska of District 1, Tiffany Sevruk of District 2, Sarah Tracy of District 3, Vice President Esperanza Badillo-Diiorio of District 4 and Michelle Gipson of District 5.
Envision Career Academy is a choice high school that offers an innovative learning opportunity to students who are looking for a unique high school experience that is real-world, inquiry-based, and highly collaborative among students and teachers.
