The Puget Sound Estuarium is inviting the public to jive with live bands and enjoy a drag show at its annual "Jellyfish Jam" fundraiser.
This high-energy event on Saturday, Sept. 27, celebrates estuarine life, creative expression and shared joy.
The event opens at 6:15 p.m. with a pre-Jam donor reception at Overhill Events, located inside the Underhill Plants building at 715 4th Ave. in Olympia.
Local artists will serenade guests under an intimate atmosphere with drinks and locally-inspired bites.
“This reception honors Estuarium donors, members, and supporters who help keep our programs flowing all year long,” states he Estuarium in an announcement about the event.
The party drifts to The Olympia Center at 6:30 p.m. for the main event, Jellyfish Jam, featuring three live bands and a drag show.
“Jellyfish Jam is about community, joy, queerness, science, and the untapped beauty of community connections. It’s a celebration of our estuarine ecosystem — fluid, radiant, and resilient,” said Hap Clemons, Executive Director of the Puget Sound Estuarium, in a statement.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes, dance and showcase South Sound-themed flair. Event tickets are priced at $25 each.
