Estuarium seeking musicians for fundraising event

Posted

The Puget Sound Estuarium is looking for musicians for its annual fundraiser, Jellyfish Jam, which is scheduled for Sept. 27 at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW in Olympia.

A donor reception, set for 6:15 p.m. at Overhill, precedes the jam, will feature a cozier and quieter atmosphere.

Two to three solo or acoustic musicians are invited to play at the reception, which will be set up at 5:30 p.m.

Selected bands play from 6:40-7:50 p.m. The team is looking for two to three bands that can play for 15-20 minutes or three to four songs each.

There is a stage, a microphone and an auxiliary system that can be plugged into with some speakers hooked up in the room.

Organizers are providing two staff members to help musicians set up and transition.

The Estuarium said because the event is a nonprofit fundraiser, the budget for performers is limited until a sponsor is found.

Here is a link to the event. Interested musicians may contact the Estuarium.
