Olympia’s free summer concert series, "Music in the Park," returns to Sylvester Park and Port Plaza for four Wednesdays starting on July 9.

The Olympia Downtown Alliance announced in a news release that the concerts, presented by Olympia Federal Savings, are a beloved summer tradition featuring live, local music in beautiful downtown settings.

“Music in the Park draws hundreds — sometimes thousands — of attendees each summer, spotlighting the talent of local and regional musicians while boosting the vibrancy of downtown Olympia,” stated the news release.

The first three free outdoor concerts will be held at Sylvester Park, while the last one will take place at Port Plaza.

“Whether you're dancing with friends or relaxing on a blanket, this series is your invitation to celebrate summer with music, community, and good vibes,” added the news release.

Schedule

The three concerts at Sylvester Park will feature two performers per day, starting at 6 p.m., followed by the next band at 7 p.m.

The first concert on July 9 will feature PC&J and The Eclectics.

On July 16, Anderson Raye performs first, followed by Nikko & The Night Shift.

Danika & Benny opens the concert on July 23, with Briarfinch performing next.

The last concert on July 30 is set to take place at the Port Plaza, featuring Minda Lacey at 6 p.m. and Eden Lane Jazz & Swing at 7 p.m.

Attendees are reminded to pack blankets, lawn chairs and takeout food before settling into the park for an evening of music under the summer sky.
