A failed culvert has shuttered a stretch of State Route 510 (SR 510), the Washington State Department of Transportation said.
SR 510 is closed at milepost 6, which is southeast of Lacey, until further notice.
"We’re setting a game plan to repair a culvert that failed beneath a section of SR 510. Due to safety, we had to immediately close both directions of the highway," the Department of Transportation said in a social media post on Thursday, April 24.
"The closure is located at milepost 6 between Old Pacific Highway Southeast and Rockcress Drive Southeast. Until repairs can be made, travelers should use alternate routes. There is no timeline for reopening the roadway."
