A convicted felon has been accused of threatening and brandishing a gun at a group of minors at a Lacey convenience store.

In a social media post over the weekend, the Lacey Police Department said it received a report of a man brandishing a gun and threatening a group of juveniles, then fleeing in a black Mazda SUV.

Officers obtained and broadcast a description of the suspect to other officers after speaking with the minors and reviewing security footage. Shortly after, a Community Service Officer saw the suspect’s vehicle on 6th Avenue and College Street with a man and woman inside.

Law enforcement stopped the vehicle and detained the two individuals near the I-5 on-ramp on Martin Way northbound.

The woman told officers that the man passed her a handgun after they left the convenience store. Police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and found a loaded semi-automatic handgun, hundreds of narcotics pills possibly laced with fentanyl, scales, and packing material.

The man was a convicted felon with records in several other counties, Lacey police said. He was booked on charges of felony harassment, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

NAMES, please. NAMES. This felon doesn't need protection, WE do. I don't give a rip about his 'right to privacy'..when he threatens children, never mind adults, he's lost his civil rights to anything but a fair trial. The fact that he's out, still committing crimes, tells me his stint in prison didn't '''''rehabilitate''' him at all. Lock him up!!
