A premiere beer festival is making its debut at the Thurston County Fairgrounds on June 17, 2023, featuring Country Music star Dakota Poorman.
Tickets are on sale now for $7 for adults, and kids 12 and under are free, for the "Wave The Flag Boldly" concert, with 12oz beer cups at $5 per cup or $25 for 5 beers. There will be 40+ taps going, including the debut of Tumwater's Chapman Cider, which will have 4 taps of hard cider.
Tickets are now on sale online or at the door. Those who will be drinking alcohol will be checked for a valid ID and must be at least 21 years old. Kids and dogs are welcome outside of the drinking areas.
The Wave The Flag Boldly concert and Beerfest will support Rods and Reels, a local non-profit that re-homes donated rods and reels to those in need, especially kids.
The Beerfest and concert are part of the 2023 Fishing Expo, which will be held all day on June 17 and June 18 at the Thurston County Fairgrounds (3054 Carpenter Road in Lacey).
