Olympia is offering free parking in its downtown areas for the holidays.
In its Facebook post, the city announced that the city is offering free parking in downtown Olympia from December 14 to 26 on its two and three-hour on-street parking meters.
However, the offer does not include 15-minute meters, 9-hour meters, and also does not cover off-street parking.
“Time restrictions still apply,” said the city.

This is such a good idea!!!! The downtown merchants are so penalized for those parking meters. They would get so much more business if people had hassle free and 0 cost parking.
