Freezing rain expected tonight, slippery roads predicted

Drivers are urged to use caution and drive slowly during the freezing rain that is predicted for tonight.

According to a Winter Weather Advisory by the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to begin around 6 to 8 p.m., and the advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. PST.

The mixed precipitation is expected to have areas of freezing rain with snow accumulation that could reach a half-inch, and the ice is predicted to be about one-tenth of an inch deep.

The roads are expected to be very slippery.
