Gibson's Custom Meats, a locally owned butcher shop serving the South Sound region, is celebrating the first anniversary of its community-driven "Pay It Forward" program.
To commemorate this milestone and prepare for heightened holiday food insecurity, the shop is hosting a special 1-for-1 Donation Match Day on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026.
Community Essential Pack Details:
Each pack contains 5 pounds of staple proteins, including 2 lbs of ground beef, 2 lbs of boneless chicken breast, and 1 lb of pork breakfast sausage.
Due to rising wholesale meat costs, the shop recently adjusted the price of the donation packs to $19 each. Previously $16.99. This adjustment ensures the business can continue providing the same high-quality, fresh protein to vulnerable community members without compromising nutritional value.
