A Gig Harbor man was arrested and placed on $80,000 bail after authorities say that on Friday morning he drove the wrong way on State Route 101, causing a fatal collision.
James Blair, 53, was charged with vehicular homicide. During a hearing in Thurston County Superior Court, Deputy Prosecutor Scott Jackson said authorities believe Blair had used marijuana prior to driving to work that day, causing the crash.
Gregg M. Hicks, 47, of Shelton was killed in the collision.
The collision occurred at around 5:09 a.m. Friday on SR 101 near Shaker Church Road, tweeted Washington State Patrol Trooper Ryan Burke.
