Olympia police have seized multiple firearms and a variety of narcotics from a suspect facing multiple warrants, according to the department's Twitter post.

An officer on patrol at about 1:30 a.m. on February 9 noticed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on the 4000 block of Martin Way E, Lt. Paul Lower told The JOLT.

The officer observed several people walk up to the vehicle, stay for a short while, then leave.

The male occupant of the vehicle was identified as Joseph Mydlar, 40. The officer learned that he had several warrants for his arrest, including possession of a stolen firearm, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and several others related to narcotics.

While arresting Mydlar for the warrants, the officer saw drug paraphernalia and ammunition inside the vehicle.

A search warrant was granted by a Thurston County Superior Court judge. The search yielded 84.64 grams of meth, 18.30 grams of heroin, 215.05 grams of powdered fentanyl, 68 fentanyl pills, 160 Xanax pills, scales, and other drug paraphernalia.

Three firearms were also located in the vehicle, two of which were listed as stolen from Olympia and Lacey.

Mydlar was booked into the Thurston County Jail and was still in custody as of this morning.
