If you are like most of us who have gone before, you probably have some questions. COVID-19 has pretty much put the brakes on cruises and holiday family gatherings. What happens to your travel plans, retirement, anniversary and birthday parties?
Enter the ZOOM application for your phone and/or computer. Zoom can bring your family, friends, businesses, co-workers, civic clubs and bible study groups into your home with as many members as you like. It is easy to use and free if used within the allotted time frame. Podcasts can bring books, discussion groups and educational topics into your home and if your spouse or partner is interested in different subjects, earbuds solve the problem of noise confusion. (www.podcast.com)
YouTube provides music for every generation as well as some good movies, instructional and cooking videos. (www.youtube.com)

I'm a long-time senior, retired over 24 years. Today I got a flyer (among others) in the morning paper from Fred Meyer, noting prominently that next Tuesday is "Senior Discount Day". However, everything in the flyer was toys for grandchildren (?), clothes for sons/daughters, etc. but NOTHING for a senior him/herself. I'd like to see ads for something I might really need or use.
