History Talks! Captain Cook Rediscovered

Using illustrations that appear in his recent book, Captain Cook Rediscovered: Voyaging to the Icy Latitudes, Dave Nicandri will present a new side to the famous navigator. Rather than the tropical explorer we are accustomed to, Dave will introduce us to an entirely new figure: James Cook as the pioneering polar ice scientist.

David Nicandri is the former executive director of the Washington State Historical Society and is an expert in the history of the Pacific Northwest’s exploration phase.
