Kula Cloth is Hosting a Fundraiser for Washington State Parks and Giving Away Outdoor Gear from More than 20 Brands

Kula Cloth, a leading outdoor gear company located in Granite Falls, is excited to announce it will be hosting the 4th leg of the Kula Abundance Tour on May 7th at Millersylvania State Park from noon until 6:00 pm. The tour is devoted to outdoor fun and adventure, but more importantly, is a fundraiser for Washington State Parks and their foundations.

During the tour, Kula Cloth will be giving away free gear from over 20 industry partners including a tent from Gossamer Gear, day packs from Gregory and Hoka, a gift card from Garage Grown Gear, a bear vault, water bottles, outdoor clothing, down socks, outdoor books, backpacking meals and more. These generous donations will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about some great gear while supporting our state parks.

Kula Cloth Founder, Anastasia Allison says she has always had a special place in her heart for parks. As a child she volunteered at parks and became a Junior Park Ranger at everyone she visited. Prior to starting her own business, she was a park ranger at Twanoh State Park near the Hood Canal. She decided that all proceeds from the Kula Abundance Tour would be donated to Washington State Parks and their foundations as her way of giving back to the people and places that make the outdoor industry the best place to work.

Kula Cloth has already hosted sold-out fundraising events at Deception Pass, Cama Beach and Fort Worden State Parks and plans to host 5 more in 2023. Millersylvania State Park is next on May 7. At each tour stop, attendees can expect a variety of activities including a treasure hunt for a chance to win prizes and outdoor gear, day hikes and nature walks, watercolor painting, wood burning with Moss Tangle Arts, a potluck smorgasbord, a silent disco dance party with a great playlist and opportunities to make custom Kula Cloths with their own artwork. Participants can also take part in a park stewardship activity of a chance to win The One, an ultralight tent provided by Gossamer Gear.

The Kula Abundance Tour takes place at Millersylvania State Park on May 7. Attendance to the event is by donation. To register for the Kula’s Abundance Tour visit the Kula Cloth website or contact allison@kulacloth.com.
