A man was arrested at a casino after allegedly robbing a bank in Lacey and fleeing in a vehicle with the cash.
The Lacey Police Department said the unidentified man passed a note to someone at Key Bank on Martin Way on Friday, Nov. 28. The note stated he had weapons and wanted money.
A bank employee apparently complied, and then the suspect left with the undisclosed amount of cash before police officers got to the scene.
"Patrol immediately began interviewing staff and reviewing surveillance footage. They were able to determine the vehicle used by the suspect was stolen from a car dealership when the suspect asked to take it for a test drive and never returned, though he did leave behind a copy of his (driver's) license," said the Lacey Police Department in a social media post
"Now that they were able to identify him, it was learned that he had several arrests for robbery, eluding and assault. Officers went by his address and did not locate him there, so they began reaching out to other agencies in the area in search of him.
"A few hours later, our friends at Nisqually Public Safety Complex advised the vehicle was in the parking garage at the casino, and the suspect was inside the casino. Nisqually PD was able to take the suspect in to custody with the help of Thurston County (Sheriff's Office)."
An investigation later determined the suspect was responsible for other robberies in King County.
"A search warrant was granted for the vehicle and several items linking him to the robberies were located. He was booked in to jail for robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, and investigations for the other robberies are ongoing," said the Lacey Police Department in the social media post. "Great work to all involved in helping us catch this prolific bank robber!"

DON"T LET HIM BAIL OUT. Just don't. I don't care if there's no room in the jail, a dog kennel will do nicely to keep him confined and out of the rain.

Right on, SecondOtter,
How these creeps with long records continue to roam in our midst doing their dirty deeds is beyond me. We pay taxes assuming they provide us a safe, pleasant community.
