Lacey man allegedly hurls jug of urine at ex-wife for Mother’s Day

A Lacey man allegedly gave his ex-wife an odd Mother’s Day greeting.

The suspect, 31, was arrested on May 15, exactly a week after a reported assault at a home along Fifth Avenue SW.

Dispatchers reported to police that a man attacked his ex-wife with a jug containing urine, then fled on foot.

A responding officer noted “a large amount of fresh wet substance” around the entrance to the ex-wife’s home, accompanied by “the obvious overwhelming smell of old rancid urine.” There was also a broken one-gallon plastic jug near the entrance.

The ex-wife told police that she was smoking a cigarette by the front door when she heard a loud scream and saw the suspect, her ex-husband, headed toward her.

The suspect was holding a plastic jug above his shoulder, the woman said. She added that she immediately ran off and the suspect threw the jug at her door just as she was closing it.

The suspect then screamed “Happy f*cking Mother’s Day,” according to the ex-wife.

Police located the suspect a week after the incident. He was booked into the Olympia Jail for assault and third-degree malicious mischief.
