Lacey Police Department requests public’s help in locating a missing teen

The Lacey Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a missing 16-year-old. 

The teen, identified as Ethen R. Smith, who also goes by “Xenon,” was last seen on Aug. 22 at about 6:21 p.m. at Fred Meyer on Sleater Kinney Road., the Lacey Police Department said.

Authorities believe the teen may have gone to Long Lake Park later that day. 

Smith is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and has visible scars on the ankles. At the time of disappearance, Smith was wearing a black one-piece mini skirt. 

According to investigators, Smith does not have a phone or money. 

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact nonemergency dispatch at 360-704-2740 stating reference case number 2025-4263.

    Is this missing teen neurodivergent? If so, it would greatly increase the odds of them being recognized if that information were provided.
