The Lacey Police Department (LPD) is investigating a death at the Capitol Club Apartments after officers responded to a call on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 25.
According an LPD social media post, the Lacey Fire Department was initially dispatched to the apartment complex at 3800 14th Ave. SE for a medical emergency.
The caller reported experiencing negative effects after using too much fentanyl the previous night.
Upon arrival, fire personnel were informed by the caller that a deceased individual was inside the apartment.
LPD officers were then called to the scene, where they confirmed the presence of a deceased person.
Detectives are currently conducting an investigation, with LPD assuring the public that, “there is no threat to the community.”
No further details have been released at this time.
