Residents are invited to attend the Lacey Planning Commission’s public hearing on Oct. 8 to review proposed updates to the city's 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in City Hall, Council Chambers.
Proposed revisions include updates to land use, housing, transportation, economic development and utilities. There will also be updates on greenhouse gas reduction and climate resiliency.
The plan update involves amendments to zoning regulations, including zone consolidations and text amendments.
Several individual rezone requests are also part of the review. Sites under consideration include the 5500 Martin Way East, Hoh Street SE, 8407 Steilacoom Road SE, 6335 Pacific Avenue SE, 837 Carpenter Road SE, 1302 Alder Street SE, 5000 Mullen Road SE, 2802 Boat Launch Street SE and Long Lake Natural Area.
During the public hearing, participants are going to have the opportunity to provide comments on the proposed updates.
