Lacey is calling for local artists to participate in its utility box art project.

In its social media post, the city announced that it welcomes community members of all ages to participate in a project that will showcase the area’s history and influential community members.

“The project transforms utility control boxes throughout Lacey into visually fun and appealing art that reflects the City’s history, culture, and diversity,” Lacey explained.

The city anticipates selecting 15 entries through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), although it said successful individuals and groups need not have project experience.
