Linwood Avenue SW in Tumwater impacted by paving project

A paving operation is forcing the reduction of traffic lanes on Linwood Avenue SW in Tumwater, the city said in an advisory.

Motorists should expect delays on Linwood Avenue SW between Susitna Lane SW and 2nd Avenue SW from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. through April 5.

"The active work zone extends along Linwood Ave. SW between Susitna (Lane) and 2nd (Avenue). Work will include grinding of existing pavement, final repaving, and adjusting utilities," the city said.

"Two-way traffic will be maintained with traffic control and flaggers in place to keep vehicles moving. Lane shifts and alternating single lane closures will be used as the active work zone moves along the street. Motorists should plan for delays or take alternate routes."
