A man was arrested on Sunday, March 30, after he allegedly punched and tried to throw a Bayview Thriftway employee to the ground.

The Olympia Police Department said in a social media post that the incident happened in the morning. No aid was needed for the employee.

The suspect left the grocery store after the incident, but was later located in the vicinity of 8th Avenue SE and Plum Street SE.

He apparently fought with an officer at the scene, which necessitated additional units, including one with a WRAP restrain device.

The suspect, whose name was not released, was later arrested.
