A 47-year-old man was arrested following an alleged attempted break-in at a home in the 3700 block of Wesley Drive NW.

The incident occurred just on Monday evening, May 19, when a resident called 911 to report a man was trying to force entry through the front door of their home. She told dispatchers the man, wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans, later moved toward her bedroom window and appeared to damage the front porch railing.

Deputies with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and located a man matching the suspect's description lying in the front yard. Authorities identified him as Joshua Jerry Fuller.

According to law enforcement, Fuller appeared disoriented and uncooperative, and was reportedly cursing at the responding deputies.

Deputies discovered a holstered pistol in his waistband, which they secured without incident.

“Upon rolling Joshua over to his back I located a Glock 19 magazine with 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition in it, which was concealed by Joshua’s body at first,” a TCSO deputy reported.

No injuries were reported, but the residents stated they “felt the person at the door was absolutely trying to break the door down to gain entry to remain unlawfully.”

Fuller was booked into the Thurston County jail on suspicion of first-degree attempted burglary while armed with a deadly weapon.
