A man was arrested after authorities responded to an assault involving two people, who had arranged to meet through an online dating app.
Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders said in a social media post that a person met with another individual in Lacey after the two connected online. The meeting took place on Tuesday evening, Sept. 30.
After spending some time together, the suspect asked the other individual for a ride home. That person agreed, but then trouble ensued.
“The victim drove the individual to a random neighborhood they didn’t actually live in when the suspect began strangling the victim,” Sheriff Sanders states in his social media post.
The victim, who managed to escape and call 911, had visible injuries around the neck area.
While deputies searched for the suspect, a nearby resident contacted authorities to report an unknown male hiding in backyard bushes.
The individual was described as appearing to be under the influence of drugs. Deputies located the man and identified him as the suspect in the assault.
The suspect, who was not identified, was later arrested without incident and taken to Thurston County Corrections Facility. He faces a charge of second-degree assault by strangulation.

OldKid yeah, I mean he hasn't responded yet because he's in jail lol.
He's a strong supporter of the anti-women party, and judging by his posts, there is no way a woman would ever willingly sleep with him.
