A man was arrested for multiple charges late evening of September 5th after a woman called 911 about a domestic disturbance in the area of Grand Mound.
After establishing probable cause for felony harassment and malicious mischief, deputies from the Thurston County Sheriff's Office arrived at the Grand Mound region, but the suspect had fled the scene.
After some time had passed, the victim once again called and informed the 911 dispatcher that the suspect was back. The responding deputies were still in the area looking for the suspect and were able to respond to the call quickly.
According to the deputies’ report on their social media post, “the male fought with deputies before smashing his own head into the patrol car twice, damaging the vehicle.”
The suspect also allegedly kicked one of the deputies in the leg, dislocating his knee, Thurston County Sheriff’s Office further reported.
The deputy was said to have reset his dislocated knee before rejoining the conflict by crawling back and grabbing the suspect's legs to aid in the capture.
The suspect was then apprehended when the deputies placed him in a WRAP restraint system “a restraint system that wraps the suspect up so they can’t assault anyone.”
The injured deputy was sent to St. Peter's Hospital for medical clearance before transport to jail, while the suspect was taken to Capital Medical Center, where he bit a nurse and attempted to bite another while threatening to kill officers.
The suspect is facing multiple charges, which include felony harassment domestic violence, malicious mischief domestic violence, felony assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, assault, and attempted assault.
As of Wednesday, Thurston County Superior Court set conditions of release for the suspect today, which include an evaluation by a Designated Crisis Responder prior to release and a monetary bail of $30,000, among other conditions.
The deputy was seen at St Peter’s Hospital and “is in good spirits while they receive preliminary treatment.”

Right. This guy is a wild animal (and that's doing a disservice to decent wild animals) and they're going to release him? He's busted a cop's knee, bit two women (human bites are bad, you have to go on antibiotics for weeks), and bail is only 30K? (you only have to put up 10% to be bailed out. And I bet money this guy will skip bail.)
Come on, Superior Court. This guy needs to be behind bars.
