Man robs Heritage Bank in Tumwater

An unidentified man entered the Heritage Bank branch located on Trosper Road in Tumwater, and allegedly held up the bank on the late afternoon of October 26.

According Tumwater Police Department, bulletin post, eyewitnesses stated that the suspect approached a bank teller and demanded cash in denominations of "$50's and $100's,” which was also seen in the bank’s security camera footage.

“He concealed his left hand in his Carhart quarter-zip sweatshirt pocket which made employees believe he had a firearm,” Tumwater PD stated.

The teller complied with the demand, handing over the money to the suspect.

After successfully collecting the money, the suspect exited the bank and made his getaway on a BMX-style bike equipped with foot pegs.

Law enforcement officials described the suspect as a male in his forties or fifties with greyish hair wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and cargo-style pants and a baseball hat that is white and black.

He was seen wearing a distinctive red Milwaukie-type glove on his right hand, while his left hand was gloved with a black and grey rubber glove.

The Tumwater Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident and is seeking information from the public to identify and apprehend the suspect.
