A man was arrested after he was found holed up in a trailer, and then tried to get away from Thurston County Sheriff's Office personnel despite getting hit with a 40 millimeter impact round and zapped with a Taser.
The incident started after sheriff's office deputies received information that the suspect, known for repeatedly violating court orders, was potentially violating a domestic violence no-contact order on Thursday, Nov. 6.
"With the suspect’s location unknown, K-9 Igo was brought in to assist. After searching the property, K-9 Igo alerted to a trailer, indicating the suspect was likely hiding inside," said Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post.
"Deputies surrounded the trailer and repeatedly attempted to call the suspect out. There was no response. A flash bang was deployed outside in an attempt to gain compliance, but still no movement. Deputies then secured a search warrant and opened the trailer — locating the suspect inside."
But the suspect, who was not identified, initally refused to abandon the trailer and surrender.
"When he eventually came out of the trailer holding an object in his hands, (deputies) deployed less-lethal tools, including a Taser and a 40mm impact round. Both were ineffective, and the suspect attempted to flee," Sanders said.
"K-9 Igo was deployed and took down the suspect quickly, allowing (deputies) to move in and take him into custody."
The suspect was later treated at a local hospital for injuries related to his arrest. He was then booked into Thurston County Corrections Facility.
The man faces a number of charges related to the incident, including residential burglary, felony violation of a no-contact order and criminal trespass in the first degree.

One wonders whether he thinks it was worth it to violate the court order.

Igo found the suspect, and Igo took down the suspect: I wonder what would have happened with him.

@ Acadian04, Domestic Violence is About Control. Rarely those that violate Restraining Orders from a Court learns a "Lesson". Without some "Treatment".
