Margie Slovan, Managing Editor

Margie Slovan is an award-winning journalist who has worked in radio, print and online. She started her reporting career as a freelancer for NPR, Marketplace, Monitor Radio and several national magazines. She was editor of the muckracking Seattle Star and a reporter for the Daily Journal of Commerce, where she covered transportation, government and environmental issues.  Here in Thurston County Margie reported on state government for the short-lived Olympia Newswire. Margie is a proud graduate of The Evergreen State College. In her other life she directs plays and teaches theatre.
