A motorcyclist was arrested after a high-speed chase that hit 100 miles per hour on Interstate 5.
The unidentified motorcyclist was spotted by a Thurston County Sheriff's Office sergeant in the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 14.
The motorcyclist was allgedy riding in a reckless manner on Martin Way. The sergeant, who was with K-9 Igo at the time, caught up to the motorcycle as it entered southbound Interstate 5.
"When the (sergeant) attempted to stop the bike, the rider fled and a pursuit was initiated.
The rider fled at 100 mph and took exit 105A, where he slowed to a stop and flipped the pursuing (sergeant off)," said Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post.
"As the rider refused commands and started to drive off again, the (sergeant) delivered a hit stick finishing move that would have made the SportCenter Top 10 if criminal apprehension were a recognized category."
Sanders added, "To no one’s surprise, the suspect had an active warrant out for his arrest for reckless driving out of Renton. The suspect also had suspected methamphetamine in his necklace locket and two meth pipes on him."
The motorcyclist was later booked into Thurston County Corrections Facility for attempting to elude a police vehicle, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Might be interesting to follow this case and see what the resulting punishment includes. He could have easily killed someone. Will he be released from custody on his own recognizance and free to offend again?

I feel a bit of justice when the rider got flipped off his motorcycle a few seconds after he flipped the bird to the sergeant.
