My Morbid Mind Haunted House originally appeared as a Halloween decoration on the doorstep of a residence in the Lacey area. To get to the front door and collect their treats, trick-or-treaters had to sneak through a little maze of horrors. For the "Master of the Macabre," Kevin Noah, this was just the beginning. He is the "best haunt in the state's" owner, principal designer, constructor, director, and supervisor! From the front porch, he made his way to their whole backyard, which he turned into a haunt. When it proved insufficient for his steadily expanding fan base, he started seeking a bigger venue.
The barn's debut performance, which took place in 2008, was a big success. Still, 2009 was better. Regulators being enforced by Thurston County necessitated the cancellation of the 2010 season. Kevin collaborated extensively with the county to achieve its construction and safety standards. He spent the entire year working to upgrade the parking spaces, put in emergency and fire alarm systems, and build a self-contained fire sprinkler system. Because of this work, he received approval from the county to begin operations for the 2011 season. among the select handful of haunts to receive this variation.
This year looks to be the finest yet with a ton of new rooms, props, animatronics, pneumatics, and special effects! Do come down! if you're brave
