Native Plant Traditional Uses & Cedar Bark Pulling

Join a spring walk through the forested shoreline along the Nisqually River on protected Nisqually Land Trust property to learn about traditional uses for native plants, including cedar bark pulling. Mosses and lichens abound at this 265-acre wildlife-rich conservation site.

Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes and bring walking sticks, if desired. Bring water and snacks. Restrooms are available at the beginning and the end of the hike at the Buddhist Priory.

Accessibility: Initial path on wooden stairs down to the river is steep. Hiking poles are recommended.
