New senior housing for Olympia

Posted

A new 67-unit senior housing development is planned for Olympia in the area bordered by Henderson Blvd., Yelm Highway and Palomino Drive.

The South Sound Village Cooperative will be a 3-story building of 130,000 square feet with underground parking. The developer is Real Estate Equities Development LLC.

Olympia city planner Nicole Floyd told the JOLT the project is being reviewed for its building and engineering construction permits. The city of Olympia should be ready to give the project final approval within the next four to six weeks, although revisions could delay that further, she said.

The city’s Design Review Board will discuss the project at its meeting tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 pm.
