The Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission is seeking for local athletes to be honored in its upcoming 2022 Sports Awards.
In their press release, the sports commission is asking community members to nominate high school, college and recreational athletes or coaches for one of seven awards, namely:
“Sports events, games and tournaments have come back in 2022 and we are looking forward to another year of celebrating Thurston County’s sports community,” says Jeff Bowe, vice president of sales and development at the Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission. “This year, we’ve partnered with Oly Ortho to make health and wellness more of a priority than ever.”
The statement added that local sports community leaders and influencers may also be nominated.
Partnering with Olympia Orthopaedic Associates (Oly Ortho), the sports commission, a division of Experience Olympia & Beyond, plans to hold the award ceremony by November this year.
According to the press release, winners will be selected by the Sports Commission Advisory Committee, comprised of local sports community members, to be finalized by the Experience Olympia & Beyond board of directors.
