The League of Women Voters of Thurston County is hosting a candidate forum at Lacey Timberland Library on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The North Thurston school board candidate forum starts at 1 p.m. The library is located at 500 College St. SE in Lacey.

The event is being hosted in collaboration with the NAACP of Thurston County, Thurston Community Media and Lacey Timeberland Libary.

The forum is open to the public. Attendees will get the opportunity to provide questions for candidates to answer.

The candidate forum is one of several to be hosted by the League of Women Voters ahead of the Nov. 4 General Election.

“From local ballot initiatives to important local races, it is crucial voters in Lacey make their voices heard this election year,” said Vallie Needham Huisman, the League of Women Voters co-President and Candidate Forum Chair, in a statement.

“Our candidate forums are a vital election source that provides voters with the resources they need to make an informed vote this fall.”
