Olympia Parks, Art and Recreation is looking for artists for its Olympia Art Crossings Project.

“This opportunity is available to artists with a strong connection to the city of Olympia, WA.  Olympia-based artists and/or artist teams are encouraged to apply,” the press release read.

With a budget of $50,000, the art installation will be the third in a series of eight, to be placed on the crossing of Martin Way and Pacific Avenue, according to an Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation press release.

The Olympia Art Crossings project is a City-initiated program aimed at promoting art around various communities and neighborhoods all over the city that “places public art in local neighborhoods, contributes to community identity, and connects different areas of our community through public art.”

Applications started March 3, with an online workshop for applicants set at 6 p.m to 7:30 p.m. on March 16, and the deadline for entries on March 29, 11:45 p.m.
