The City plans to discuss the proposal at the upcoming city council meeting on Tue., June 22 at 7 p.m.

Under Tuesday's agenda, the City shared its plans to vote on a resolution for an agreement between the City of Olympia, the OPD, and the Providence Community Care Center. The proposed agreement would allow the OPD to occupy an office space in the CCC’s Social Outreach Hub at 225 State Ave NE for its Crisis Response Unit.

Based on the agreement, the Community Care Center and relatedoutreach services are open seven days a week to provide “non-emergent” individuals with medical and health care services. The outreach services would include treatment for behavioral and physical health needs, specifically among homeless individuals.
