Olympia developing citywide Wayfinding Master Plan

City encourages residents to take survey

Posted

The City of Olympia is moving along with the development of a citywide Wayfinding Master Plan, and is encouraging the community to take part by studying the plan and taking a survey.

The plan, led by Tangram Design, LLC, aims to enhance the navigation experience through improved signage throughout the city to make it easier for residents and visitors to explore key destinations.

The plan will introduce a reliable system of directional signs for both drivers and pedestrians, as well as gateway signs at key entry points into the city.

The improvements are designed to highlight Olympia’s character, history and attractions to promote a more welcoming environment.

Community input is a key part of the process. Residents are encouraged to participate in a survey to share their thoughts on the proposed designs.

Feedback collected will be presented to the Olympia City Council to help guide final decisions on the project.

Is this like that awful arch sign Centralia installed over Harrison, right before the 1st/Main split? If so, don’t do it.
