The Olympia School District is nearing the launch of Skyward Qmlativ, a new educational management system upgrade, in July 2025.
The upgrade is set to enhance functionality on student information, payroll, finance, human resources, and family and student access, the district stated on its website.
“This transition presents a significant undertaking for our district. For over a year, numerous district departments (including the Business Office, Student Information, and Human Resources) have been involved in the planning and implementation stages. This includes meticulous migration planning, data refinement, and training planning,” the district said in a news release.
The district said the system migration will be a work in progress and timeline updates will be publicized as the 2024-25 school year moves along.
There will be training for all district staff before the 2025-26 school year starts.
The district is moving to Qmlativ as the school district cooperative it is under, the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC), is transitioning member districts to the new system.

What do those letters even mean & who is going to say it? I don't see anywhere in this new system migration, that suggests more emphasis on actual teaching of our kids. When are math, reading, writing & science scores going to improve? Shouldn't that b the most important aspect of schools.
