OLYMPIA –– The last of four racial justice town halls hosted by Olympia city officials is coming up this week, featuring a discussion on race and the educational system.
The Olympia City Council sponsored a series of virtual town halls to provide a platform for conversations around racial justice, centered on and led by Black professionals with lived experience on specific topics. The previously-held town halls focused on topics around race with the justice system, economic opportunity, and the healthcare system.
The fourth and final town hall on Aug. 13, 2020, at 4 p.m. will focus on racial justice and the education system. For more information, reach out to cityhall@ci.olympia.wa.us and to register as an attendee sign up here.
