Olympia unveils 2025-30 Transportation Improvement Program for public review

Olympia is asking community members for feedback on its 2025-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The city explained in its press release that the program outlines a series of projects to enhance the city’s transportation infrastructure – roads and sidewalks – over the next five years.

The TIP aligns closely with the 2024-29 Preliminary Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) and will be presented to the City Council for adoption this fall.

Residents and stakeholders can access a summary of the TIP and the official document by visiting the City’s Transportation website.

For the public to know more about this program, an upcoming public hearing will be held this Tuesday, October 17, at 6 p.m.

The hearing will be at the City Council Chambers.in city hall at 601 4th Avenue East.

For those who will attend in person, the sign-up to testify from 5:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting until before the meeting starts. Community members may also comment and attend online.

If physical attendance is impossible, the city asks for written comments, to besubmitted to Joey Jones through his email address or the Olympia City Council P.O. Box 1967, Olympia, WA 98507-1967 on or before noon onOctober 17.
