Olympia wants to upgrade the county's 911 system

Posted

The city of Olympia is considering a proposal to upgrade Thurston County’s 911 emergency system.

The project would be on industrial land at 2703 Pacific Ave. S.E., the site of the existing Thurston County 911 Dispatch Center. It would include a 50-kilowatt diesel-fueled generator for emergency back-up power, according to the contractor, civil engineering firm LDC, Inc. from Woodinville.

Olympia’s Site Plan Review committee will be discussing this proposal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 9 am.
