Olympia will make road repairs that may affect traffic in the following months, according to a City of Olympia statement.
State Avenue and Franklin Street will be fully closed on a still undisclosed date this coming spring, said the press release, contingent to weather and availability of materials.
According to the City, they opted for a full closure to allow crews to work safely and avoid longer disruption on traffic and parking.
Residents and passersby are advised to expect the following during construction, expected to be done between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
City authorities will coordinate with businesses, residents, customers, and commuters who may be affected and provide advance notification and detour information as needed.
Concerns and questions may be sent out to the Franklin Street Improvement Outreach Team hotline 360-216-7720.

That artist rendering is so infuriating because it takes 30 years to grow trees that big and as usual the construction planners never protect the existing trees, but cut them all down. Why is public planning so clueless when it comes to tree protection?
