hey Lisa
I have been saying this out loud a lot, but wanted to message the idea to you directly. have you ever considered stepping down and then being in a supporting role of Talauna Reed? You say that there is a need to dismantle white supremacy in Olympia. then why would you continue to run against Talauna Reed, who is more than qualified for the position, and a Black Woman and a formerly UNhoused Poverty Schola?. It's the most obvious thing you could do, to literally dismantle white supremacy. To concede, and then shift your Life's Work from being at the table to supporting Talauna at the table.
Poor people know what needs to happen to end poverty. Black people have the scholarship in racism and know the medicine to heal our community from it.
you could leverage your white and class privilege by stepping down and endorsing Talauna Reed. Then offer your services as a supporting role to her work as seat 5 of olympia city council.
thanks for REEDing this. I look forward to your response. and I will keep holding hope that you might do this.
p.s. i also suggest you attend PeopleSkool with Poor Magazine. I have attended twice. Its a one weekend school (on
zoom) for people with race and class privilege to UNlearn and DEEcolonize. www.poormagazine.org
with love for our collective liberation

I like what Lisa Parshley has been doing, she does LOTS of homework - and I have nothing against Talauna, but nobody can do your homework FOR you.

I was part of an organization that endorsed Lisa Parshley in this race. We do dual endor*****ts and I reached out to Talauna Reed but she did not complete the questionnaire that would enable us to consider her for endor*****t. I would love to see Taluana run for office again (whether it be this office or another position), and if she does, I hope she can participate in the candidate endor*****t process of the National Women's Political Caucus. We need more women in office, and especially more women of color.

I see that the software this website employs to censor words of an adult nature incorrectly identified as salacious the noun having its origin in the verb "to endorse" in my previous comment.
