The PARC Foundation of Thurston County announced its 2024 Community Grant Program, which is aimed at supporting local non-profit organizations and government agencies.

PARC stands for parks, arts, recreation and culture. The foundation seeks to strengthen community initiatives within Thurston County and is inviting proposals for parts of its $120,000 fund.  This year's fund is three times the previous annual funds, according to the organization.

Organizations interested in applying for grants may access the program guidelines, eligibility criteria, and requirements on the foundation's official website.

Applications will be accepted starting immediately until Friday, March 8.

All submissions received by the deadline will undergo review and processing throughout March, with the awards to be announced in April.

"The PARC Foundation is steadfast in its commitment to empowering projects that contribute to the vibrancy and prosperity of Thurston County," remarked James Reddick, Founder of the PARC Foundation. "We urge organizations engaged in parks, arts, recreation, and cultural endeavors to seize this opportunity for funding."

Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the PARC Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Thurston County residents by promoting parks, arts, recreation, and cultural activities since 2004.

The foundation has distributed over $800,000 in grants to local organizations.
