On 8/2/2021 at 1:27 a.m. in the 5700 block of 30th Ave SE, police arrested Edward M Matos, 39, on suspicion of malicious mischief in the second degree.

On 8/2/2021 at 3:10 a.m. in the 4700 block of Yelm Hwy SE, police arrested Robert Scott Brewer, 32, on suspicion of arson in the first degree.

On 8/2/2021 at 8:03 p.m. in the 2100 block of Westlake Dr SE, police arrested Ashleigh J Harris, 30, on suspicion of assault.

Olympia Police Department

On 8/2/2021 at 10:05 a.m. in the 1000 block of 4th Ave E, police arrested Kenneth William Turney, 59, for an out-of-town warrant.  See related story.

On 8/2/2021 at 12:23 p.m.  in the 200 block of Sleater Kinney Rd NE, police arrested Joshua Curtis Carpenter, 30, on suspicion of property damage.

On 8/2/2021 at 12:28 p.m. in the 200 block of Franklin St NE, police arrested David Michael Talarico, 42, on suspicion of 1) failure to appear and 2) harassment.

On 8/2/2021 at 1:00 p.m. police arrested Layne R Smith, 23, on suspicion of 1) failure to appear and 2) theft from a motor vehicle, and 3) obstructing an officer

On 8/2/2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the 900 block of Plum St SE, police arrested Tuilelago P Lemana, 28, on suspicion of probation violation.

Tumwater Police Department

On 8/2/2021 at 5:50 p.m. in the 3200 block of 66th Ave SW, police arrested Zachary Alton Kitchens, 27, on suspicion of 1) assault in the second degree, 2) interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, 3) taking a motor vehicle without permission in the second degree, and 4) malicious mischief in the third degree.

An arrest does not mean a person is guilty of the crime of which they are accused. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
